Activision exposed the Season 5 trailer for Call of Responsibility: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, which includes the return of Phillip Graves from the Modern Warfare 2 project. There are also a few teases of what to expect in this final season of material.
The Season 5 trailer says, “Darkness falls, shadows rise,” and the theme is centered around a head-to-head battle between Task Force 141 and Shadow Company. Philip Graves, who was a secondary villain and presumed dead at the end of the campaign, seems quite alive and retaking his command of Shadow Company.
A few of the combating in the trailer occurs on a nighttime variation of Warzone’s Vondel map, so it’s possible a night map is coming to fight royale, or a part of Vondel could be utilized as a nighttime multiplayer map. The last season of Call of Duty video games generally features some sort of Halloween-themed occasion, so possibly Vondel will be getting a little scary by the end of Season 5.
In addition, there’s also a tease of Strike, which is a timeless multiplayer map initially introduced in 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
